Start with Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection.  Keep in mind, if you can't find what you need there, many other databases will also contain articles related to psychology.

  2. Click on the Library button from the top menu
  3. Click on the button for A to Z Databases
  4. Select a psychology database
    • 4.1: Bring down the "All Subjects" menu
    • 4.2: Select the category for Psychology
    • 4.3: Browse the list and select a psychology database like Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
  5. From off-campus, you must log in to access the databases:
    • Enter your LACCD student email address and enter your LACCD portal password (same as Canvas/Register for classes).
  6. Enter your search keywords
    • do not enter full sentences or questions into the search box
    • use two to three keywords and combine them with "and"
    • try alternate keyword combinations to get different results
  7. Click on the Online full text
  8. Click on the Peer-reviewed/Scholarly
  9. If you need articles from a particular date range, click on the All time button and select a range.

      • broad: eating disorders
      • narrow to a type of disorder: anorexia nervosa
      • narrow to a population: teenagers or adolescents
      • narrower: causes or treatment
      • keywords phrase:
anorexia nervosa and teenagers and treatment
        or
