What is OneSearch?

OneSearch is a search platform that allows researchers to search most of the library's resources through a single search box.  This tool allows you to search multiple resources at the same time, and it is a great way to start your research.  Search results come from a variety of library databases, so they will vary in style and format.  This is a good starting point, but keep in mind that not all of our resources can be searched through this platform.

How do I find OneSearch?

  1. Start from the Los Angeles Southwest College home page: www.lasc.edu
  2. Click on the Library button from the top
  3. Locate the "OneSearch" search box

    • In the Password box enter your student password (the same password you use for Canvas or to register for classes)
  8. Take time to review the source or read the article
    • OneSearch pulls results from many databases
    • Each database may look different from each other
    • Please take time to explore each new interface that you encounter and note where the tools and features are located
    • After you determine that this is a useful source, use the tools save, print, and create citations.
